Liz Alexander was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating with honors. Liz worked in the telecommunications and medical industries and for a small public accounting firm before establishing her own accounting firm, Elizabeth Alexander, CPA, in 2003. Her firm specializes in QuickBooks® and tax services for small businesses and individuals.

Liz is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Texas. She is a Certified QuickBooks® Advanced ProAdvisor, a Certified QuickBooks® Point of Sale ProAdvisor, a member of the Intuit's Trainer/Writer Network, and served on the Intuit Accountant and Advisor Customer Counsel (2006-2008). She has been a presenter on Intuit's multi-city tour presenting QuickBooks to accounting professionals around the country. She is currently teaching QuickBooks courses for Knowledge For Success, a local non-profit support organization for new business owners.

She is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, the Fort Worth and Arlington Chapters of the Texas Society of CPAs, the National Association of Tax Professionals, and serves on the leadership committee of C3 For Women, a local organization dedicated to promoting woman-owned businesses. Starting in spring 2012, Liz will be teaching classes at the University of Texas at Arlington's Continuing Education Center.
